Just heard last night that my fave restaurant Hon's Wun Ton House is closed as it owes a lot of money...what a drag. Was looking forward to bringing my brother from California there and now I don't know where to go.

For my brother Ben who hopes to get some soon...this barbecue duck is from Hon's Wun-Tun House in Richmond. Hon's used to be a small hole in the wall noodle house on Main close to Pender in Chinatown. It has since expanded to 5 locations...and much bigger

I guess we've regressed. We used to brew Starbucks every morning but we've since found McDonalds coffee more to our liking. And the blueberry muffins are pretty good too. And did I mention "all for $1.88."

Tonight's dinner...Vera's Burgers claim to be the best in the city...they certainly seem to be doing OK as they have opened a few spots all over the Vancouver mainland.
